240SW_designed by Alex George

Font inspired by the absolutely candid Volvo 240 Station Wagon. Some people will refer to them as bricks. I refer to them as Volvo 240 Station Wagons.

Side Note: Jason Munn is taking preorders for a book that contains around 140 posters complete with metallic inks and other goodies. If you preorder you will receive a letterpress print with your book. The book is $24.95.

  1. Thanks Dan. I just checked out your website and blog and was blown away! Inspiring work. I need to step up my game and start kicking some major ass like you. I think my haircut is seriously holding me back from being an amazing designer!

    1. Not for sale. If anyone is interested in obtaining 240SW, just leave a comment with your interest and I will email the illustrator file to you.

  2. Alex – Great work! I dearly miss my 240dl wagon, or as it was reverently referred to in my circle of friends: The Tank. The nylon roof of my 1990 model became a canvas for all my artistic passengers with Sharpie markers, so that by the end of the poor car’s life, we had to cut the ceiling down with a knife, and frame it for my office.

  3. how do I acquire this font, it would go great with my girlfriends gifted car. She has not had a car in years and I just got her a 1979 245 wagon. Please let me know where I can purchase this font…
